Cabbage Soup


 

  1. 1/2 lb ground beef (leaner the better)
  2. 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  3. 1 cup beef broth
  4. 4 cups tomato juice
  5. 1 cup water
  6. 3/4 teaspoon salt
  7. 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  8. 2 cloves garlic, mashed
  9. 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  10. 5 cups shredded cabbage



  1. Brown ground beef
  2. Drain off fat
  3. Put all ingredients in a large pot
  4. Bring to a boil
  5. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes
  6. Makes about 8 cups
