Old Fashioned Vegetable Stuffing


 

12 ounces prepared seasoned dressing or corn bread stuffing mix
1 cup melted butter or margarine
1-1/2 cups fruit juice, broth or water
1-1/2 cups fairly finely chopped celery
1 cup minced onion

  • Combine dressing with melted butter or margarine, celery, and onion
  • Stir in liquid, mixing very well
  • Stuff loosely in body and neck cavities
  • Skewer or knot/sew the cavities closed
  • Bake as usual
  • Makes about 6 cups
