Pranks and funny gifts are a good method to sort your friends. Why you want to have friends who can't laugh and enjoy life? Assuming you are the type who enjoy parties and pranks went they happen?
Just wonder if is worth to have a friend who will be serious most of the time you'll are spending together ? The type who don't smile, don't laugh on a good joke, talking only about their busy life, their job and problems. I prefer a good friend, so I sort my friend from begging. If they laugh they are ok, if not, well...your decision. Yeah, you will not be likable more just because you do jokes and pranks.
Practical jokes and pranks are know to tide up relationships -they only destroy relationships with the people know for the lack in sense of humor.
But, if you could' t appreciate say a itching powder-I'm joking, of course- them why to be my friend? I don't enjoy people who can't laugh!

Your friends are not you business partner so you must enjoy their company, to laught with them - the general word is to have fun.

My preffered prank: toilet monster. Your wife will never yell at you about leaving the seat up again! This toilet monster is shocking and funny! He attaches to the inside of the toilet bowl by suction cups. As the unsuspecting person goes to use the bathroom, they'll scream as they lift the lid and are greeted by the toilet monster!
I also like covert clicker who can control the TV anywhere, any time! This prank will make you laugh out loud just thinking about it. Close your eyes and picture a crowded sports bar on Super Bowl Sunday, or perhaps Game 7 of the World Series. Imagine all the fans draped in oversized sports jerseys clutching a beer and screaming at the TV. With seconds left on the clock - CLICK! - the TV channel changes to the Home and Garden Television network!
I got an idea from another guy and worked to my coworkers who have returned from an extended vacation...I scare them with an realistic program that simulates over 2 dozen system errors, crashes, and jokes. With this little program you can simulate anything from a blue screen of death, a window that runs away from the mouse, a mouse that moves all by itself, a fake online purchase, system crashes, and crazy desktop effects. Their reliefs when they found out that's only a prank...
